Mobile Crisis & Co-Responder Working with Law Enforcement & Jail-Custer/Fremont Counties

Be a part of our integrated healthcare team! Solvista Health is located in beautiful southern Colorado, serving a rural four-county region. We are located close to excellent outdoor activities such as mountain hiking trails, mountain biking, and whitewater river sports.

This individual will provide assessment and treatment to people experiencing behavioral health symptoms within Custer County Jail.  Likewise, the position would provide co-responding alongside Law Enforcement to Custer County residents who exhibit symptoms of behavioral health issues.  The role would provide both behavioral health treatment in the jail and intensive case management services for offenders transitioning from incarceration to community living.

A goal of the co-responder program is to decrease the need to utilize the local ambulance service to respond in the field and transport a resident who is experiencing behavioral health issues to a hospital located well over an hour away.   It is also hoped people experiencing symptoms of behavioral health issues can access behavioral health treatment to avoid future incarceration. The position includes supporting Wellness Court, a mental health specialty court program offered in Fremont County, as well as work closely with all other providers to help support recovery and reduce recidivism rates for Custer County.
